Day of Atonement- Yom Kippor- Judgment Day
Some; like myself, are of the opinion that this evening at sundown is Atonement; the 10th day of the 7th month! You are welcome to celebrate (Second time for some of us this year!) and join us in prayer, fasting and repentance- calling on the living Elohim to direct our thoughts, our eyes, our tongues, our hands and even our feet! I believe he hears and directs those of us with heart rendered prayers!
(Lev 23:27) “On the tenth day of this seventh month is the Day of Atonement. It shall be a set-apart gathering for you. And you shall afflict your beings, and shall bring an offering made by fire to יהוה. (Lev 23:28) “And you do no work on that same day, for it is the Day of Atonement, to make atonement for you before יהוה your Elohim. (Lev 23:29) “For any being who is not afflicted on that same day, he shall be cut off from his people. (Lev 23:30) “And any being who does any work on that same day, that being I shall destroy from the midst of his people. (Lev 23:31) “You do no work – a law forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings. (Lev 23:32) ‘It is a Sabbath of rest to you, and you shall afflict your beings. On the ninth day of the month at evening, from evening to evening, you observe your Sabbath.”
Heart rendered prayers with afflicting our souls and flesh (Fasting) render effective fervent prayer!
(Jas 5:16) Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. (Jas 5:17) Elijah was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. (Jas 5:18) And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit. (Jas 5:19) Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him; (Jas 5:20) Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.
Here’s what fasting and prayer will do!
(1Jn 5:14) This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. (1Jn 5:15) And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him.
Wow! You have whatsoever you ask whether you see it yet or not!
May YHWH bless and direct your thoughts, words, and actions to produce fruit for you that will remain!
Shalom and thank you for your heart felt prayers for us,
Thurston
