Gulf Oil Spill 2010: Plans to evacuate Tampa Bay area expected to be announced

Steve Qualye Note: Have had multiple confirmations from law enforcement officers that plans plans are in motion to prepare for the evacuation 10's of millions from Gulf and East Coasts. http://www.stevequayle.com/index1.html

Plans to evacuate the Tampa Bay area are expected to be announced in the coming days as FEMA prepares for what is now being called the worst oil disaster in the history of the world.

Estimates of the rate of BP's Deepwater Horizon oil spill by skyTruth.com, put more accurate numbers at more than 1 million gallons a day, based on satellite and Coast Guard images.

Since the April 20th explosion, which resulted in the sinking of the rig, there has been more than 21 million gallons of oil pumped into the Gulf of Mexico.

The evacuations will be necessary for the elderly and those with respiratory problems along much of Florida’s coast, including the Tampa Bay area, if plans proceed to set the massive, approaching oil slick on fire,

Kurt Nimmo--Infowars.com--May 20, 2010--The U.S. Coast Guard’s motto is “Semper Paratus,” Latin for “Always Ready” or “Always Prepared.” In the case of BP’s Gulf oil disaster, the Coast Guard is apparently always prepared to prevent the media from covering Louisiana’s oil-soaked Gulf shoreline.

CBS journalists were threatened with arrest by BP contractors and the Coast Guard when they attempted to film the beach. See the video below.

“This is BP’s rules, it’s not ours,” someone aboard the boat said. In other words, BP is running the show, not the Coast Guard and the government.

Karl Burkart, writing for Mother Jones, reports numerous, unconfirmed reports of cameras and cell phones being confiscated, scientists with monitoring equipment being turned away, and local reporters blocked from access to public lands impacted by the oil spill.

“But wait,” writes Burkart, “isn’t that a public beach? From my viewpoint, it looks as if the Coast Guard has been given direct orders to protect BP’s PR interests above safety concerns over air and water quality, above the outcries of local governments in need of aid, and (worst of all) above the need for the American public to be informed about what is really going on in the Gulf.”

At What Cost? BP Spill Responders Told to Forgo Precautionary Health Measures in Cleanup

Venice, Louisiana -- Local fishermen hired to work on BP's uncontrolled oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico are scared and confused. Fishermen here and in other small communities dotting the southern marshes and swamplands of Barataria Bay are getting sick from the working on the cleanup, yet BP is assuring them they don't need respirators or other special protection from the crude oil, strong hydrocarbon vapors, or chemical dispersants being sprayed in massive quantities on the oil slick.

Fishermen have never seen the results from the air-quality monitoring patches some of them wear on their rain gear when they are out booming and skimming the giant oil slick. However, more and more fishermen are suffering from bad headaches, burning eyes, persistent coughs, sore throats, stuffy sinuses, nausea, and dizziness. They are starting to suspect that BP is not telling them the truth.

Plans to evacuate the Gulf are BEGINING TO FLY AROUND THE NET.
Thursday, 20 May 2010--Benzene, incredible amounts of Benzene are being released into the atmosphere and is a clear and present danger not only for the old and people with respiratory problems but the general Gulf population as a whole.
The International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) has determined that benzene is a human carcinogen, and can cause various forms of cancer from prolonged exposure.Exposed to high levels of benzene show association with leukemia cancer; including acute myelogenous leukemia, acute lymphocytic leukemia, and chronic myelogenous leukemia. Benzene-related leukemias have been reported to develop in as short as nine months. Aromatic liquid that evaporates quickly into the air, and can dissolve in water.
Benzene is present in crude oil, gasoline and cigarette smoke. It is industrially used as a solvent in paints and other chemicals and products such as dyes, detergents, nylon, plastics, drugs and pesticides. Benzene is widely used in the United States; it ranks in the top twenty chemicals for production volume and makes up about one percent of every gallon of gasoline.

Are there health hazards to benzene exposure, i.e. can benzene cause cancer?

The International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) has determined that benzene is a human carcinogen, and can cause various forms of cancer from prolonged exposure. According to the IARC, benzene is often considered "the mother of all carcinogens," as a large number of carcinogens have structures that include benzene rings.

Gulf oil spill: The Halliburton connection
April 30, 2010 --Investigators delving into the possible cause of the massive gulf oil spill are focusing on the role of Houston-based Halliburton Co., the giant energy services company, which was responsible for cementing the drill into place below the water. The company acknowledged Friday that it had completed the final cementing of the oil well and pipe just 20 hours before the blowout last week.

In a letter to to Halliburton Chief Executive David J. Lesar on Friday, Rep. Henry A. Waxman (D-Beverly Hills) chairman of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce, and Rep. Bart Stupak (D-Mich.), chairman of the Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations, called on Halliburton officials to provide all documents relating to "the possibility or risk of an explosion or blowout at the Deepwater Horizon rig and the status, adequacy, quality, monitoring, and inspection of the cementing work" by May 7.

The Cover-up: BP's Crude Politics and the Looming Environmental Mega-Disaster

Written by Wayne Madsen

WMR has been informed by sources in the US Army Corps of Engineers, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), and Florida Department of Environmental Protection that the Obama White House and British Petroleum (BP), which pumped $71,000 into Barack Obama's 2008 presidential campaign -- more than John McCain or Hillary Clinton, are covering up the magnitude of the volcanic-level oil disaster in the Gulf of Mexico and working together to limit BP's liability for damage caused by what can be called a "mega-disaster."

Obama and his senior White House staff, as well as Interior Secretary Ken Salazar, are working with BP's chief executive officer Tony Hayward on legislation that would raise the cap on liability for damage claims from those affected by the oil disaster from $75 million to $10 billion. However, WMR's federal and Gulf state sources are reporting the disaster has the real potential cost of at least $1 trillion. Critics of the deal being worked out between Obama and Hayward point out that $10 billion is a mere drop in the bucket for a trillion dollar disaster but also note that BP, if its assets were nationalized, could fetch almost a trillion dollars for compensation purposes. There is talk in some government circles, including FEMA, of the need to nationalize BP in order to compensate those who will ultimately be affected by the worst oil disaster in the history of the world.

Plans by BP to sink a 4-story containment dome over the oil gushing from a gaping chasm one kilometer below the surface of the Gulf, where the oil rig Deepwater Horizon exploded and killed 11 workers on April 20, and reports that one of the leaks has been contained is pure public relations disinformation designed to avoid panic and demands for greater action by the Obama administration, according to FEMA and Corps of Engineers sources. Sources within these agencies say the White House has been resisting releasing any "damaging information" about the oil disaster. They add that if the ocean oil geyser is not stopped within 90 days, there will be irreversible damage to the marine eco-systems of the Gulf of Mexico, north Atlantic Ocean, and beyond. At best, some Corps of Engineers experts say it could take two years to cement the chasm on the floor of the Gulf.

Only after the magnitude of the disaster became evident did Obama order Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano to declare the oil disaster a "national security issue." Although the Coast Guard and FEMA are part of her department, Napolitano's actual reasoning for invoking national security was to block media coverage of the immensity of the disaster that is unfolding for the Gulf of Mexico and Atlantic Ocean and their coastlines.

From the Corps of Engineers, FEMA, the Environmental Protection Agency, Coast Guard, and Gulf state environmental protection agencies, the message is the same: "we've never dealt with anything like this before."

The Obama administration also conspired with BP to fudge the extent of the oil leak, according to our federal and state sources. After the oil rig exploded and sank, the government stated that 42,000 gallons per day was gushing from the seabed chasm. Five days later, the federal government upped the leakage to 210,000 gallons a day.

However, WMR has been informed that submersibles that are monitoring the escaping oil from the Gulf seabed are viewing television pictures of what is a "volcanic-like" eruption of oil. Moreover, when the Army Corps of Engineers first attempted to obtain NASA imagery of the Gulf oil slick -- which is larger than that being reported by the media -- it was turned down. However, National Geographic managed to obtain the satellite imagery shots of the extent of the disaster and posted them on their web site.

There is other satellite imagery being withheld by the Obama administration that shows what lies under the gaping chasm spewing oil at an ever-alarming rate is a cavern estimated to be around the size of Mount Everest. This information has been given an almost national security-level classification to keep it from the public, according to our sources.

The Corps and Engineers and FEMA are quietly critical of the lack of support for quick action after the oil disaster by the Obama White House and the US Coast Guard. Only recently, has the Coast Guard understood the magnitude of the disaster, dispatching nearly 70 vessels to the affected area. WMR has also learned that inspections of off-shore rigs' shut-off valves by the Minerals Management Service during the Bush administration were merely rubber-stamp operations, resulting from criminal collusion between Halliburton and the Interior Department's service, and that the potential for similar disasters exists with the other 30,000 off-shore rigs that use the same shut-off valves.

The impact of the disaster became known to the Corps of Engineers and FEMA even before the White House began to take the magnitude of the impending catastrophe seriously. The first casualty of the disaster is the seafood industy, with not just fishermen, oystermen, crabbers, and shrimpers losing their jobs, but all those involved in the restaurant industry, from truckers to waitresses, facing lay-offs.

The invasion of crude oil into estuaries like the oyster-rich Apalachicola Bay in Florida spell disaster for the seafood industry. However, the biggest threat is to Florida's Everglades, which federal and state experts fear will be turned into a "dead zone" if the oil continues to gush forth from the Gulf chasm. There are also expectations that the oil slick will be caught up in the Gulf stream off the eastern seaboard of the United States, fouling beaches and estuaries like the Chesapeake Bay, and ultimately target the rich fishing grounds of the Grand Banks off Newfoundland.

WMR has also learned that 36 urban areas on the Gulf of Mexico are expecting to be confronted with a major disaster from the oil volcano in the next few days. Although protective water surface boons are being laid to protect such sensitive areas as Alabama's Dauphin Island, the mouth of the Mississippi River, and Florida's Apalachicola Bay, Florida, there is only 16 miles of boons available for the protection of 2,276 miles of tidal shoreline in the state of Florida.

Emergency preparations in dealing with the expanding oil menace are now being made for cities and towns from Corpus Christi, Texas, to Houston, New Orleans, Gulfport, Mobile, Pensacola, Tampa-St.Petersburg-Clearwater, Sarasota-Bradenton, Naples, and Key West. Some 36 FEMA-funded contracts between cities, towns, and counties and emergency workers are due to be invoked within days, if not hours, according to WMR's FEMA sources.

There are plans to evacuate people with respiratory problems, especially those among the retired senior population along the west coast of Florida, before officials begin burning surface oil as it begins to near the coastline.

There is another major threat looming for inland towns and cities. With hurricane season in effect, there is a potential for ocean oil to be picked up by hurricane-driven rains and dropped into fresh water lakes and rivers, far from the ocean, thus adding to the pollution of water supplies and eco-systems.

Oil dispersants used in Gulf of Mexico spill causing alarm

By Dennis Pillion, al.com

May 17, 2010BP has used almost 600,000 gallons of the oil dispersant Corexit at the surface of the Gulf of Mexico to break-up the slick from the Deepwater Horizon spill, but concerns are growing about the environmental impact of those chemicals on the Gulf ecosystems and human residents of the area.

Federal officials have expressed the
need for more toxicology studies on the dispersants, and whether dispersed oil is any less of a threat than non-dispersed oil. One toxicology expert, Dr. William Sawyer, called the products "deodorized kerosene," and a group of Louisiana fisherman and marine toxicologist Riki Ott are asking President Barack Obama to order BP to stop using the compound.

Most experts won't go that far, but even EPA administrator Lisa Jackson and NOAA administrator Dr. Jane Lubchenco admitted in a
recent conference call that the effects of the dispersants are largely unknown. Most of the studies performed on the agents have been testing effectiveness on dispersing oil, not on toxicity.
Corexit is Killing the Gulf

J. Speer-Williams--Infowars.com--May 20, 2010--The private, foreign International Monetary/Banking Cartel controls its puppets in Washington as it controls its oil company executives. And everything the Cartel does is anti-life, there are absolutely no exceptions; and their pretended Gulf oil clean-up is a glaring case in point.

Instead of cleaning up the unprecedented catastrophe created by the Cartel’s mega-corporations (Halliburton, Transocean, and British Petroleum), these very same companies seem to be purposely killing our Gulf of Mexico, under the pretense of cleaning it up, with a chemical dispersant by the trade name of Corexit.

This news will, of course, be meet with incredulous disbelieve by those who have yet to catch on to the fact that the private interests that own the Federal Reserve System, and all other central banks in the world, also own all major multi-national corporations.

It is something you are not supposed to know, and is politically incorrect to talk about: the International Monetary/Banking Cartel owns, or controls, from its base in the financial District of London, and other undisclosed places, all large international corporations. Wall Street and the Federal Reserve banks of the US are merely the Cartel’s American subsidiaries.

The Cartel’s ownership of so much is hidden with various inter-linked, inter-locked directorships, proxies, nominees, sophisticated fronts, and the like. Their many corporations own shares of other corporations, who own still more shares of other corporations.

Socialist author, geo/political analyst, and activist Mr. Ralph Schoeman estimates there is less than one percent of the world’s population that comprise the capitalist/ banking Cartel’s infrastructures, yet this private Cartel owns over 95 percent of the world’s wealth, with each member holding an average of 14 large corporate directorships.

The Cartel’s multinational corporations are an arcane mixture of many corporations, all forming, in effect, one mega-corporation, ultimately controlled, if not owned outright by the International Monetary/Banking Cartel.

Even Harvard’s John Kenneth Galbraith, long recognized as America’s leading public intellectual, has warned us of the dangers and oligopolistic nature of large multi-national corporations.

Of the one hundred largest economic units in the world, today, 49 are governments, while 51 are corporations. Those corporations are the driving force on earth, and an open secret is these corporations are owned by the International Monetary/Banking Cartel, who also controls the governments of the world.

This is international fascism at work.

It’s not that private ownership is a bad thing; it’s when most of everything is owned by an entente of the few, and protected by governments, that makes private, corporate-led globalization of markets miasmatic to all other life forms as it is currently occurring in the fragile ecosystems in our Gulf of Mexico, with its biodiversity of many plant, animal and marine species.

In short, our world is in the death grip of something known as the International Monetary/Banking Cartel, the fountainhead of all international monopolies, which are protected by the laws and militaries of the major governments of the world; and the US government, with her perfidious politicians, has lead in this defense of this Cartel, beginning sometime after President Lincoln’s assassination.

Lincoln said, “Corporations have been enthroned. An era of corruption in high places will follow … until wealth is aggregated in a few hands … and the Republic is destroyed.”

Democratic politicians are the best agents for big business, because of the popular belief that democratic politicians will protect the public from the abuses of financial oligarchs, an easily provable myth.

It’s a sad truth that democratic voters, who see financial plutocrats as their greatest adversaries, constantly support ever bigger government, with more laws and regulations, do not have a clue how those very laws are written by the Cartel’s “think tanks,” to more enrich and empower themselves.

And if one carefully explained all this to an average democratic voter, they demand proof; and once proof was furnished, they’d ignore it all, calling it a “right-wing conspiracy theory. So much for democratic voters, they’ll not learn much political truth this life-time.

And how about rabid republicans voters? Well, thanks to right-wing, war loving demigods like Rush Limbaugh, republicans have monopoly capitalism confused with free markets and free enterprises, and do not want to make any distinctions between them.

Unfortunately, those of us stuck deeply into the media’s carefully engineered left/right paradigm have no desire be objective, and are thus blinded to all truth that does not reinforce biased opinions. Remedial work in geo-politics will not open the minds of such people, as they are badly in need of spiritual remedies; nevertheless, facts are facts, and some are available to truthseekers, like the killing of all life in our Gulf of Mexico.

Instead of using safe, non-toxic ways to gather up the rogue oil gushing from their incompetence, or their planned cataclysm, this private Cartel of oligarchs is using an extremely toxic chemical dispersant (Corexit), with the approval of the Obama administration, to drive the surface crude oil deeply underwater.

In a New York Times article by Paul Quinlan, British Petroleum (BP) is using a dispersant with the trade name of Corexit, even though alternative dispersants have been shown to be far less toxic, and in some cases nearly twice as effective.

And even though scientists have warned that Corexit could cause long-term harm to marine life, BP has ordered almost a million more gallons of the deadly dispersant from Nalso, a company with whom BP enjoys a cozy relationship.

Even our own EPA data ranks Corexit as being 20 times more toxic, and far less effective in handling southern Louisiana crude than some other dispersants.

Historically, workers who have cleaned up after the use of Corexit have suffered with health problems, including blood in their urine.

Carys Mitchelmore, a professor at the University of Maryland’s Environmental Science asked, “Why wouldn’t you go for the lesser toxic formulation?”

BP spokesman Jon Pack defended the use of Corexit by saying their attention is focused on plugging the leak [gusher], and not what dispersant is used.

“It’s a chemical [Corexit] that the oil industry makes to sell to itself, basically,” said Richard Charter, a senior policy advisor for Defenders of Wildlife.

Alan Levine, the head of Louisiana’s Department of Health and Hospitals, said: “We don’t have any data or evidence behind the use of these chemicals in the water. We’re now basically using one of the richest ecosystems in the world as a laboratory.”

As reported in Britain’s Telegraph, Louisiana state Secretary of the Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, Robert Barham reported: “We’re very disappointed in their [EPA and oil company executives] approach. The federal procedures call for a consensus between federal authorities, the responsible party and the states involved. When we met and expressed our concerns [over the use of Corexit], apparently they decided to go without us.”

And go they did. Obama’s Environmental Protection Agency allowed BP to turn our Gulf of Mexico into a toxic testing ground, instead of removing the crude oil.

British Petroleum (BP) has even refused to use their own oil tankers, lying in the Gulf, to suck up most of the runaway oil, and possibly salvage it for sale later, as was done after a Saudi spill in the ‘90’s. That method was so successful, it vacuumed up about 85 percent of that renegade oil.

Nick Pozzi, a former oil pipeline engineering and operations project manager is puzzled why BP did not salvage perfectly good crude oil for later sale, and to thereby protect marine and wildlife.

What Mr. Pozzi does not know is the oil companies are owned by the world’s only legal counterfeiters – the International Monetary/Banking Cartel – who can “print” all the money they want, so making money on Gulf oil was not important to them. Killing the Gulf of Mexico, apparently, is important to them, for their own cryptic and esoteric reasons.

If the Cartel had wanted to save marine life, any oil they had not vacuumed up could have been mulched with any number of non-toxic materials, such as “Oil Sponge,” a name trademarked by Phase III, Inc.

Rated as the “best performing” absorbent by the US Army Corp of Engineers, Oil Sponge is 100% organic, and is made from renewable resources.

Oil Sponge is built using a microbial and nutrient package, capable of transforming oil hydrocarbons into a safe bi-product of carbon dioxide and water.

But, the governmental bureaucrats of the Obama administration, and the Cartel’s oil executives, had no interest in using an environmentally friendly product to clean up what is the greatest man-made environmental disaster of all time … they seemed intent on making this unbelievable cataclysm far, far worse, and one that could never be cleaned up.

It cannot yet be proven that the Monetary Cartel purposely blew up their own wellhead, but the crimes they have committed in their so-called “clean-up” efforts are well documented, in spite of no corporate media outrage. Well, of course not, the Cartel that owns the oil companies also own their corporate media.

After the Exxon Valdez incident of March 1989, Mycelx of Georgia developed what looks like a paper towel to soak up to 50 times its weight in oil. And while this product is used from the Middle East to Europe to Canada it was of no interest to the parties Obama charged with cleaning up the Gulf of the floating oil those very same parties caused.

"But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman's hand. So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me. When I say unto the wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt surely die; if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Nevertheless, if thou warn the wicked of his way to turn from it; if he do not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul." Ezekiel 33:6-9

Shavuot Sunday!

Thursday, May 20, 2010 TM

Those of us who may be wondering what is going on in the world just now; (for our South African brothers and sisters- going on in our world JUST NOW- NOW; meaning as we read today) consider adding the Book of Joel (3 Chapters) to your reading sometime this week. Last week we read about the order in the camp by numbering and placing the camp in their respective places! Num 1:17) And Mosheh and Aharon took these men who were called by name, (Num 1:18) and they assembled the entire congregation together on the first day of the second month. And they declared their ancestry by clans, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of names, from twenty years old and above, each one head by head. (Num 1:19) As יהוה commanded Mosheh, so he registered them in the Wilderness of Sinai. (Num 1:44) These were those registered, whom Mosheh and Aharon registered, with the leaders of Yisra’ĕl, twelve men, each one for his father’s house. (Num 1:45) And all those that were registered of the children of Yisra’ĕl, by their fathers’ houses, from twenty years old and above, everyone going out to the army in Yisra’ĕl, (Num 1:46) all those that were registered were six hundred and three thousand five hundred and fifty. (Num 1:47) But the Lĕwites were not registered among them by their fathers’ tribe, (Num 1:48) because יהוה had spoken to Mosheh, saying, (Num 1:49)Only the tribe of Lĕwi you do not register, nor take a census of them among the children of Yisra’ĕl. (Num 1:50) “Instead, appoint the Lĕwites over the Dwelling Place of the Witness, over all its furnishings, and over all that belongs to it. They bear the Dwelling Place and all its furnishings, and they attend to it, and camp around the Dwelling Place. (Num 1:51) And when the Dwelling Place is to go forward, the Lĕwites take it down. And when the Dwelling Place is to be set up, the Lĕwites set it up. And the stranger who comes near is put to death. (Num 1:52) “And the children of Yisra’ĕl shall pitch their tents, everyone by his own camp, everyone by his own banner, according to their divisions, (Num 1:53) but let the Lĕwites camp around the Dwelling Place of the Witness, so that there be no wrath on the congregation of the children of Yisra’ĕl. And the Lĕwites shall guard the duty of the Dwelling Place of the Witness.” (Num 1:54) And the children of Yisra’ĕl did according to all that יהוה commanded Mosheh, so they did. (Num 2:1) And יהוה spoke to Mosheh and to Aharon, saying, (Num 2:2) “The children of Yisra’ĕl are to camp, each one by his own banner, beside the sign of his father’s house. Let them camp around the Tent of Meeting at a distance.” All who were registered according to their divisions of the camps: six hundred and three thousand five hundred and fifty. (Num 2:33) But the Lĕwites were not registered among the children of Yisra’ĕl, as יהוה commanded Mosheh. (Num 2:34) And the children of Yisra’ĕl did according to all that יהוה commanded Mosheh. So they camped by their banners and so they departed, each one by his clan, according to their fathers’ houses. (Num 3:5) And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying, (Num 3:6) “Bring the tribe of Lĕwi near, and set them before Aharon the priest, and they shall serve him, (Num 3:7) and shall guard his duty and the duty of all the congregation before the Tent of Meeting, to do the service of the Dwelling Place. (Num 3:8) And they shall guard all the furnishings of the Tent of Meeting, and the duty of the children of Yisra’ĕl, to do the service of the Dwelling Place. (Num 3:9) “And you shall give the Lĕwites to Aharon and his sons. They are the given ones, given to him from among the children of Yisra’ĕl. (Num 3:10) And appoint Aharon and his sons, and they shall guard their priesthood. And the stranger who comes near shall be put to death.” (Num 3:11) And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying, (Num 3:12) “Now look, I myself have taken the Lĕwites from among the children of Yisra’ĕl instead of every first-born who opens the womb among the children of Yisra’ĕl. The Lĕwites shall be mine, (Num 3:13) because all the first-born are mine. On the day that I struck all the first-born in the land of Mitsrayim, I set apart to myself all the first-born in Yisra’ĕl, both man and beast. They are Mine, I am יהוה.” (Num 3:14) And יהוה spoke to Mosheh in the Wilderness of Sinai, saying, (Num 3:15) “Register the children of Lĕwi by their fathers’ houses, by their clans. Register every male from a month old and above.” (Num 3:16) So Mosheh registered them according to the word of יהוה, as he had been commanded. We also read why Yahshua served His 70 week ministry starting at age 30! (Num 4:1) And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, and to Aharon, saying, (Num 4:2) “Take a census of the sons of Qehath from among the children of Lĕwi, by their clans, by their fathers’ house, (Num 4:3) from thirty years old and above, even to fifty years old, all who enter the service to do the work in the Tent of Meeting. With those reminders in mind, let’s turn our hearts and minds to this week’s Scriptures: (John 6:47) “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in me possesses everlasting life. (John 6:48) “I am the bread of life. (John 6:49) “Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness and they died. (John 6:50) “This is the bread which comes down out of the heaven, so that anyone might eat of it, and not die. (John 6:51) I am the living bread which came down out of the heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he shall live forever. And indeed, the bread that I shall give is my flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world.” Let’s eat!

This week’s Torah Scriptures: Naso: Accounting, Elevate

Numbers 4:21-7:89; Judges 13:2-25; Acts 1:8-2:33 (Shavuot);

2 Samuel Chapters 16, and 17

(Num 4:21) And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying, (Num 4:22) “Take a census also of the sons of Gĕreshon, by their fathers’ house, by their clans. (Num 4:23) Register them, from thirty years old and above, even to fifty years old, all who enter to perform the service, to do the service in the Tent of Meeting. (Num 4:24) “This is the service of the clans of the Gĕreshonites, in serving and in bearing burdens: (Num 4:25) “And they shall bear the curtains of the Dwelling Place and the Tent of Meeting with its covering, the covering of fine leather that is on it, the covering for the door of the Tent of Meeting, (Num 4:26) and the screens of the courtyard and the covering for the door of the gate of the courtyard, which is around the Dwelling Place and altar, and their cords, all the equipment for their service and all that is made for them – so shall they serve. (Num 4:27) “Aharon and his sons are to command all the service of the sons of the Gĕreshonites, their entire burden and all their service. And you shall appoint to them all the duty of their entire burden. (Num 4:28) “This is the service of the clans of the sons of Gĕreshon in the Tent of Meeting. And let their duties be under the hand of Ithamar, son of Aharon the priest. (Num 4:29) “As for the sons of Merari, register them by their clans and by their fathers’ house. (Num 4:30) “Register them, from thirty years old and above, even to fifty years old, all who enter the service to do the work of the Tent of Meeting. (Num 4:31) “And this is the duty of their burden, according to all their service for the Tent of Meeting: the boards of the Dwelling Place, and its bars, and its columns, and its sockets, (Num 4:32) and the columns around the courtyard with their sockets, and their pegs, and their cords, with all their equipment and all their service. And assign to each by name the equipment of the duty of their burden. (Num 4:33) “This is the service of the clans of the sons of Merari, as all their service for the Tent of Meeting, under the hand of Ithamar, son of Aharon the priest.” (Num 4:34) So Mosheh and Aharon and the leaders of the congregation registered the sons of the Qehathites by their clans and by their fathers’ house, (Num 4:35) from thirty years old and above, even to fifty years old, all who entered the service for work in the Tent of Meeting. (Num 4:36) And their registered ones, by their clans, were two thousand seven hundred and fifty. (Num 4:37) These were the registered ones of the clans of the Qehathites, all those serving in the Tent of Meeting, whom Mosheh and Aharon registered according to the command of יהוה by the hand of Mosheh. (Num 4:38) And those registered ones of the sons of Gĕreshon, by their clans and by their fathers’ house, (Num 4:39) from thirty years old and above, even to fifty years old, all who entered the service for work in the Tent of Meeting, (Num 4:40) the registered ones, by their clans, by their fathers’ house, were two thousand six hundred and thirty. (Num 4:41) These were the registered ones of the clans of the sons of Gĕreshon, of all who serve in the Tent of Meeting, whom Mosheh and Aharon registered according to the command of יהוה. (Num 4:42) And those of the clans of the sons of Merari who were registered, by their clans, by their fathers’ house, (Num 4:43) from thirty years old and above, even to fifty years old, all who entered the service for work in the Tent of Meeting, (Num 4:44) the registered ones, by their clans were three thousand two hundred. (Num 4:45) These were the registered ones of the clans of the sons of Merari, whom Mosheh and Aharon registered according to the command of יהוה by the hand of Mosheh. Sin and cleaning up the camp!

(Num 5:1) And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying, (Num 5:2) “Command the children of Yisra’ĕl to send out of the camp every leper, and everyone who has a discharge, and whoever becomes defiled1 for a being. Footnote: 1Defilement can be imparted from one to another. (Num 5:3) “Send out both male and female, send them outside the camp, so that they do not defile their camps in the midst of which I dwell.” (Num 5:4) And the children of Yisra’ĕl did so, to send them outside the camp. As יהוה had spoken to Mosheh, so the children of Yisra’ĕl did. (Num 5:5) And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying, (Num 5:6) “Speak to the children of Yisra’ĕl, ‘When a man or woman commits any sin that men commit in trespass against יהוה, and that being is guilty, (Num 5:7) then they shall confess their sin which they have done. And he shall restore his guilt in its principal, plus one-fifth of it, and give it to who he has been guilty. (Num 5:8) ‘But if the man has no relative to restore the guilt to, the guilt which is restored goes to יהוה, for the priest, in addition to the ram of the atonement with which atonement is made for him. (Num 5:9) ‘And every contribution of all the set-apart gifts of the children of Yisra’ĕl, which they bring to the priest, becomes his. (Num 5:10) ‘And every man’s set-apart gifts become his, whatever any man gives the priest becomes his.’

Yahshua took the price for the whoring wife (Israel) and took the bitter herbs!

(Num 5:11) And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying, (Num 5:12) “Speak to the children of Yisra’ĕl, and say to them, ‘When any man’s wife turns aside and has committed a trespass against him, (Num 5:13) and a man has intercourse with her, and it is hidden from the eyes of her husband, and it is concealed that she has defiled herself, and there was no witness against her, nor was she caught, (Num 5:14) and a spirit of jealousy comes upon him and he becomes jealous of his wife who has defiled herself, or a spirit of jealousy comes upon him and he becomes jealous of his wife although she has not defiled herself, (Num 5:15) then the man shall bring his wife to the priest. And he shall bring the offering for her, one-tenth of an ĕphah of barley flour. He is not to pour oil on it or put frankincense on it, because it is a grain offering of jealousy, an offering for remembering, for bringing crookedness to remembrance. (Num 5:16) ‘And the priest shall bring her near, and shall make her stand before יהוה. (Num 5:17) ‘And the priest shall take set-apart water in an earthen vessel, and take some of the dust that is on the floor of the Dwelling Place and put it into the water. (Num 5:18) And the priest shall make the woman stand before יהוה, and shall uncover the woman’s head, and put the offering for remembering in her hands, which is the grain offering of jealousy, while the priest holds in his hand the bitter water that brings a curse. (Num 5:19) ‘And the priest shall make her swear, and say to the woman, “If no man has lain with you, and if you have not turned aside to uncleanness under your husband’s authority, be free from this bitter water that brings a curse. (Num 5:20) “But if you have turned aside under your husband’s authority, and if you have defiled yourself and some man other than your husband has lain with you” – (Num 5:21) then the priest shall make the woman swear with the oath of the curse, and he shall say to the woman – “יהוה make you a curse and an oath among your people, when יהוה makes your thigh waste away and your belly swell, (Num 5:22) and this water that causes the curse shall go into your inward parts, and make your belly swell and your thigh waste away.” And the woman shall say, “Amĕn, amĕn.” (Num 5:23) ‘And the priest shall write these curses in a book, and shall wipe them off into the bitter water, (Num 5:24) and shall make the woman drink the bitter water that brings the curse, and the water that brings the curse shall enter her to become bitter. (Num 5:25) ‘And the priest shall take the grain offering of jealousy from the woman’s hand, and shall wave the offering before יהוה, and bring it to the altar. (Num 5:26) ‘And the priest shall take a hand filled with the offering, as its remembrance offering, and burn it on the altar, and afterward make the woman drink the water. (Num 5:27) ‘And when he has made her drink the water, then it shall be, if she has defiled herself and has committed a trespass against her husband, that the water that brings the curse shall enter her and become bitter, and her belly shall swell, and her thigh shall waste away, and the woman shall become a curse among her people. (Num 5:28) ‘But if the woman has not defiled herself, and is clean, then she shall be clear and shall conceive children. (Num 5:29) ‘This is the Torah of jealousy, when a wife turns aside under her husband’s authority and defiles herself, (Num 5:30) or when a spirit of jealousy comes upon a man, and he becomes jealous of his wife. Then he shall make the woman stand before יהוה, and the priest shall do to her all this Torah. (Num 5:31) ‘And the man shall be clear from crookedness, but the woman bears her crookedness.’ ”

(Num 6:1) And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying, (Num 6:2) “Speak to the children of Yisra’ĕl, and say to them, ‘When a man or woman does separate, by making a vow of a Nazirite, to be separate to יהוה, (Num 6:3) he separates himself from wine and strong drink – he drinks neither vinegar of wine nor vinegar of strong drink, neither does he drink any grape juice, nor eat grapes or raisins. (Num 6:4) The entire days of his separation he does not eat whatever is made of the grapevine; from seed to skin. (Num 6:5) ‘All the days of the vow of his separation a razor does not come upon his head. Until the days are completed for which he does separate himself to יהוה, he is set-apart. He shall let the locks of the hair of his head grow long. (Num 6:6) All the days of his separation to יהוה he does not go near a dead body. (Num 6:7) ‘He does not make himself unclean for his father, or for his mother, for his brother or his sister, when they die, because his separation to Elohim is on his head. (Num 6:8) ‘All the days of his separation he is set-apart to יהוה. (Num 6:9) ‘And when anyone dies beside him in an instant, suddenly, and he has defiled the head of his separation, then he shall shave his head on the day of his cleansing – on the seventh day he shaves it. (Num 6:10) ‘And on the eighth day he brings two turtledoves or two young pigeons to the priest, to the door of the Tent of Meeting, (Num 6:11) and the priest shall prepare one as a sin offering and the other as a burnt offering, and shall make atonement for him, because he sinned by reason of the dead body. And he shall set apart his head on that day, (Num 6:12) and shall separate to יהוה the days of his separation, and shall bring a male lamb a year old, as a guilt offering. But the former days are not counted, because his separation was defiled. (Num 6:13) ‘And this is the Torah of the Nazirite: When the days of his separation are completed, he is brought to the door of the Tent of Meeting, (Num 6:14) and he shall bring his offering to יהוה: one male lamb a year old, a perfect one, as a burnt offering, and one ewe lamb a year old, a perfect one, as a sin offering, and one ram, a perfect one, as a peace offering, (Num 6:15) and a basket of unleavened bread, cakes of fine flour mixed with oil, and unleavened thin cakes anointed with oil, and their grain offering with their drink offerings. (Num 6:16) ‘And the priest shall bring them before יהוה and prepare his sin offering and his burnt offering. (Num 6:17) ‘And he shall prepare the ram as a peace offering to יהוה, together with the basket of unleavened bread. And the priest shall prepare its grain offering and its drink offering. (Num 6:18) ‘And the Nazirite shall shave the head of his separation at the door of the Tent of Meeting, and shall take the hair from the head of his separation and shall put it on the fire which is under the slaughtering of the peace offering. (Num 6:19) ‘And the priest shall take the boiled shoulder of the ram, and one unleavened cake from the basket, and one unleavened thin cake, and put them upon the hands of the Nazirite after he has shaved his hair of separation. (Num 6:20) ‘Then the priest shall wave them, a wave offering before יהוה. It is set-apart for the priest, besides the breast of the wave offering and besides the thigh of the contribution. And afterwards the Nazirite shall drink wine.’ (Comment: Yahshua will drink again with us in the Sabbath 1000 year millennium!) (Num 6:21) “This is the Torah of the Nazirite who vows to יהוה the offering for his separation, and besides that, whatever else his hand is able to provide. According to the vow which he takes, so he shall do according to the Torah of his separation.”

Aaronic blessings commanded by YHWH!

(Num 6:22) And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying, (Num 6:23) “Speak to Aharon and his sons, saying, ‘this is how you bless the children of Yisra’ĕl. Say to them: (Num 6:24) יהוה bless you and guard you; (Num 6:25) יהוה make His face shine upon you, and show favor to you; (Num 6:26) יהוה lift up His face upon you, and give you peace.” ’ Footnote: Verses 24 to 26 is the Priestly Blessing. This Nazirite Vow is life-long! Perhaps this is Yahshua- Messenger of YHWH!

(Judges 13:2) And there was a certain man from Tsorʽah, of the clan of the Danites, whose name as Manowaḥ. And his wife was barren and had not borne. (Judges 13:3) And a Messenger of יהוה appeared to the woman and said to her, “See now, you are barren and have not borne, but you shall conceive, and you shall bear a son. (Judges 13:4) “And now, please guard, and do not drink wine or strong drink, and do not eat any unclean food. (Judges 13:5) “For look, you are conceiving and bearing a son. And let no razor come upon his head, for the youth is a Nazirite to Elohim from the womb on. And he shall begin to save Yisra’ĕl out of the hand of the Philistines.” (Judges 13:6) And the woman came and spoke to her husband, saying, “A Man of Elohim came to me, and His appearance was like the appearance of a Messenger of Elohim, very awesome. But I did not ask Him where He was from, and He did not declare to me His name. (Judges 13:7) “And He said to me, ‘See, you are conceiving and bearing a son. And now, drink no wine or strong drink, nor eat any unclean food, for the youth is a Nazirite to Elohim from the womb to the day of his death.’ ” (Judges 13:8) And Manowaḥ prayed to יהוה, and said, “O יהוה, please let the Man of Elohim whom you sent come to us again and teach us what to do for the youth who is to be born.” (Judges 13:9) And Elohim listened to the voice of Manowaḥ, and the Messenger of Elohim came to the woman again as she was sitting in the field, but Manowaḥ her husband was not with her. (Judges 13:10) And the woman ran hurriedly and informed her husband, and said to him, “See, He has appeared to me, the Man who came to me the other day!” (Judges 13:11) And Manowaḥ arose and went after his wife, and came to the Man, and he said to Him, “Are You the Man who spoke to this woman?” And He said, “I am.” (Judges 13:12) And Manowaḥ said, “Now let your words come true! What is to be the rule for the youth’s life and his work?” (Judges 13:13) And the Messenger of יהוה said to Manowaḥ, “Let the woman guard all that I said to her. (Judges 13:14) Let her not eat any food that comes from the vine, neither let her drink wine or strong drink, or eat any unclean food. Let her guard all that which I have commanded her.” (Judges 13:15) And Manowaḥ said to the Messenger of יהוה, “Please let us detain you, and prepare a young goat for you.” (Judges 13:16) And the Messenger of יהוה said to Manowaḥ, “Though you detain Me, I do not eat your food. But if you offer a burnt offering, offer it to יהוה.” For Manowaḥ did not know He was a Messenger of יהוה. (Judges 13:17) Then Manowaḥ said to the Messenger of יהוה, “What is your name? When your words come true, then we shall esteem you.” (Judges 13:18) And the Messenger of יהוה said to him, “Why do you ask my name, since it is wondrous?” (Judges 13:19) And Manowaḥ took the young goat with the grain offering, and offered it upon the rock to יהוה. And He did wondrously while Manowaḥ and his wife looked on. (Judges 13:20) And it came to be, as the flame went up toward the heavens from the altar that the Messenger of יהוה went up in the flame of the altar. And Manowaḥ and his wife were watching, and they fell on their faces to the ground. (Judges 13:21) And the Messenger of יהוה did not appear any more to Manowaḥ and his wife. Then Manowaḥ knew that He was a Messenger of יהוה. (Judges 13:22) And Manowaḥ said to his wife, “We shall certainly die, because we have seen Elohim!” (Judges 13:23) But his wife said to him, “If יהוה had been pleased to put us to death, He would not have accepted a burnt offering and a grain offering from our hands, nor would He have shown us all this, nor would He have let us hear the like of this!” (Judges 13:24) So the woman bore a son and called his name Shimshon. And the child grew, and יהוה blessed him. (Judges 13:25) And the Spirit of יהוה began to move him at Maḥanĕh Dan, between Tsorʽah and Eshta’ol.

Shavuot! The anniversary of the giving of the Torah to Moses at Mt Sinai; and the giving of the Ruach (Spirit) to walk it out on the same day! (1Jn 5:1) Everyone who believes that יהושע is the Messiah has been born of Elohim, and everyone who loves the One bringing forth also loves the one having been born of Him.

(1Jn 5:2) By this we know that we love the children of Elohim, when we love Elohim and guard His commands. (1Jn 5:3) For this is the love for Elohim, that we guard His commands,1 and His commands are not heavy (burdensome), Footnote: 1See 5:2, 2 John v. 6, John 14:15. (1Jn 5:4) because everyone having been born of Elohim overcomes the world. And this is the overcoming that has overcome the world: our belief. (1Jn 5:5) Who is the one who overcomes the world but he who believes that יהושע is the Son of Elohim? (1Jn 5:6) This is the One that came by water and blood: יהושע Messiah, not only by water, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who bears witness, because the Spirit is the Truth.

We must decrease to receive His power to walk out the Torah! Only then will our witness produce fruit that will remain!

(Act 1:8) But you shall receive power when the Set-apart Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be my witnesses in Yerushalayim, and in all Yehuḏah and Shomeron, and to the end of the earth.” (Act 1:9) And having said this, while they were looking on, He was taken up, and a cloud hid Him from their sight. (Act 1:10) And as they were gazing into the heaven as He went up, see, two men stood by them dressed in white, (Act 1:11) who also said, “Men of Galil, why do you stand looking up into the heaven? This same יהושע, who was taken up from you into the heaven, shall come in the same way1 as you saw Him go into the heaven.” Footnote: 1Zech. 14:4. (Act 1:12) Then they went back to Yerushalayim from the Mount of Olives, which is near Yerushalayim, a Sabbath day’s journey. (Act 1:13) And when they came in, they went up into the upper room where they were staying: Kĕpha and Yaʽaqoḇ and Yoḥanan and Andri, Philip and T’oma, Bartholomi and Mattithyahu, Yaʽaqoḇ the son of Alphai and Shimʽon the Zealot, and Yehuḏah the son of Yaʽaqoḇ. (Act 1:14) All these were continuing with one mind in prayer and supplication, with the women and Miryam the mother of יהושע, and with His brothers. (Act 1:15) And in those days Kĕpha, standing up in the midst of the taught ones – and there was a gathering of about a hundred and twenty – said, (Act 1:16) “Men and brothers, this Scripture had to be filled which the Set-apart Spirit spoke before by the mouth of Dawiḏ concerning Yehuḏah, who became a guide to those who seized יהושע, (Act 1:17) because he was numbered with us and did receive his share in this service.” (Act 1:18) (This one, therefore, purchased a field with the wages of unrighteousness, and falling forward, he burst open in the middle and all his intestines gushed out. (Act 1:19) And it became known to all those dwelling in Yerushalayim, so that in their own language that field was called, Ḥaqal Dema, that is, Field of Blood). (Act 1:20) “For it has been written in the Book of Psalms, ‘Let his dwelling lie waste, and let no one live in it,’ and, ‘Let another take his office.’ (Act 1:21) “It is therefore necessary that of the men who have been with us all the time that the Master יהושע went in and out among us, (Act 1:22) beginning from the immersion of Yoḥanan to that day when He was taken up from us, that one of these should become a witness with us of His resurrection.” (Act 1:23) And they put forward two: Yosĕph called Barsabba, who was also called Justus, and Mattithyahu. (Act 1:24) And praying they said, “You, יהוה, who know the hearts of all, show which one of these two You have chosen (Act 1:25) to receive the share in this service and office of the emissary from which Yehuḏah by transgression fell, to go to his own place.” (Act 1:26) And they cast their lots, and the lot fell on Mattithyahu. And he was numbered with the eleven emissaries. (Act 2:1) And when the Day of the Festival of Weeks had come, they were all with one mind in one place. (Act 2:2) And suddenly there came a sound from the heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. (Act 2:3) And there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and settled on each one of them. (Act 2:4) And they were all filled with the Set-apart Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them to speak. (Act 2:5) Now in Yerushalayim there were dwelling Yehuḏim, dedicated men from every nation under the heaven. (Act 2:6) And when this sound came to be, the crowd came together, and was confused, because everyone heard them speak in his own language. (Act 2:7) And they were all amazed and marveled, saying to each other, “Look, are not all these who speak Galileans? (Act 2:8) “And how do we hear, each one in our own language in which we were born? (Act 2:9) “Parthians and Medes and Ěylamites, and those dwelling in Aram Naharayim, both Yehuḏah and Kappadokia, Pontos and Asia, (Act 2:10) both Phrygia and Pamphulia, Mitsrayim and the parts of Libya around Cyrene, visitors from Rome, both Yehuḏim and converts, (Act 2:11) “Cretans and Araḇs, we hear them speaking in our own tongues the great deeds of Elohim.” (Act 2:12) And they were all amazed, and were puzzled, saying to each other, “What does this mean?” (Act 2:13) And others were mocking said, “They have been filled with sweet wine.” (Act 2:14) But Kĕpha, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice and said to them, “Men of Yehuḏah and all those dwelling in Yerushalayim, let this be known to you, and listen closely to my words. (Act 2:15) For these men are not drunk, as you imagine, since it is only the third hour of the day. (Act 2:16) “But this is what was spoken by the prophet Yo’ĕl: (Act 2:17) ‘And it shall be in the last days, says Elohim, that I shall pour out of My Spirit on all flesh. And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams, (Act 2:18) and also on My male servants and on My female servants I shall pour out My Spirit in those days, and they shall prophesy. (Act 2:19) ‘And I shall show wonders in the heaven above and signs in the earth beneath: blood and fire and vapor of smoke. (Act 2:20) ‘The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the coming of the great and splendid day of יהוה. (Act 2:21) ‘And it shall be that everyone who calls on the Name of יהוה shall be saved.’1 Footnote: 1Joell 2:28-32, Rom. 10:13. (Act 2:22) “Men of Yisra’ĕl, hear these words: יהושע of Natsareth, a Man from Elohim, having been pointed out to you by mighty works, and wonders, and signs which Elohim did through Him in your midst, as you yourselves also know, (Act 2:23) this One, given up by the set purpose and foreknowledge of Elohim, you have impaled and put to death through the hands of lawless men –(Act 2:24) “Him Elohim raised up, having loosed the pangs of death, because it was impossible that He could be held in its grip.(Act 2:25) “For Dawiḏ says concerning Him, ‘I saw יהוה before me continually, because He is at my right hand, in order that I should not be shaken. (Act 2:26) ‘For this reason my heart rejoiced, and my tongue was glad, and now my flesh shall also rest in expectation, (Act 2:27) because you shall not leave my being in the grave, nor shall You give Your Kind One to see corruption. (Act 2:28) ‘You have made known to me the ways of life, you shall fill me with joy in your presence.’1 Footnote: 1Ps. 16:8-11. (Act 2:29) “Men and brothers, let me speak boldly to you of the ancestor Dawiḏ, that he died and was buried,1 and his tomb is with us to this day. Footnote: 1See v. 34. (Act 2:30) “Being a prophet, then, and knowing that Elohim had sworn with an oath to him: of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, to raise up the Messiah to sit on his throne, (Act 2:31) foreseeing this he spoke concerning the resurrection of the Messiah, that His being was neither left in the grave, nor did His flesh see corruption. (Act 2:32) “Elohim has risen up this יהושע, of which we are all witnesses. (Act 2:33) “Therefore, having been exalted to the right hand of Elohim, and having received from the Father the promise of the Set-apart Spirit, He poured out this which you now see and hear.

The spy King David planted paid off as YHWH made the rebellious son; Absalom listen to him!

(2Sa 16:1) And Dawiḏ had passed on a little from the summit, and saw Tsiḇa the servant of Mephiḇosheth, who met him with a couple of saddled donkeys, and on them two hundred loaves, and one hundred cakes of raisins, and one hundred summer fruit, and a skin of wine. (2Sa 16:2) And the sovereign said to Tsiḇa, “Why do you have these?” And Tsiḇa said, “The donkeys are for the sovereign’s household to ride on, and the bread and summer fruit for the young men to eat, and the wine for the wearied to drink in the wilderness.” (2Sa 16:3) And the sovereign said, “And where is the son of your master?” And Tsiḇa said to the sovereign, “See, he remains in Yerushalayim, for he said, ‘Today the house of Yisra’ĕl is going to return the reign of my father to me.’ ” (2Sa 16:4) and the sovereign said to Tsiḇa, “See, all that belongs to Mephiḇosheth is yours.” And Tsiḇa said, “I have bowed myself, let me find favor in your eyes, my master, O sovereign!” (2Sa 16:5) And when Sovereign Dawiḏ came to Baḥurim he saw a man from the clan of the house of Sha’ul, whose name was Shimʽi son of Gĕra, coming from there. He came out, cursing as he came. (2Sa 16:6) And he threw Dawiḏ with stones, and all the servants of Sovereign Dawiḏ. And all the people and all the mighty men were on his right and on his left. (2Sa 16:7) And this is what Shimʽi said as he cursed, “Get out! Get out! O man of blood and man of Beliyaʽal! (2Sa 16:8) יהוה has brought upon you all the blood of the house of Sha’ul, in whose place you have reigned. And יהוה has given the reign into the hand of Aḇshalom your son. And see, you are in your own evil, for you are a man of blood!” (2Sa 16:9) And Aḇishai son of Tseruyah said to the sovereign, “Why should this dead dog curse my master the sovereign? Please, let me pass over and take off his head!” (2Sa 16:10) And the sovereign said, “What have I to do with you, you sons of Tseruyah? For let him curse, even because יהוה has said to him, ‘Curse Dawiḏ.’ And who should say, ‘Why did you do that?’ ” (2Sa 16:11) And Dawiḏ said to Aḇishai and all his servants, “See how my son who came from my own body seeks my life, and how much more now this Binyamite? Leave him alone, and let him curse, for יהוה has spoken to him. (2Sa 16:12) “If so be, יהוה does look on my affliction, and יהוה shall return good to me for his cursing today.” (2Sa 16:13) And as Dawiḏ and his men went in the way, Shimʽi walked alongside him on the hillside, and cursed as he went, and threw stones at him and kicked up dust. (2Sa 16:14) And the sovereign and all the people who were with him became weary, and they refreshed themselves there. (2Sa 16:15) And Aḇshalom and all the people, the men of Yisra’ĕl, came to Yerushalayim, and Aḥithophel was with him. (2Sa 16:16) And it came to be, when Ḥushai the Arkite, the friend of Dawiḏ, had come to Aḇshalom, that Ḥushai said to Aḇshalom, “Let the sovereign live! Let the sovereign live!” (2Sa 16:17) And Aḇshalom said to Ḥushai, “Is this your kindness to your friend? Why did you not go with your friend?” (2Sa 16:18) And Ḥushai said to Aḇshalom, “No, I am for the one whom יהוה and this people and all the men of Yisra’ĕl have chosen, and with him I remain. (2Sa 16:19) “And besides, whom should I serve? Should it not be before his son? As I have served before your father, so I am before you.” (2Sa 16:20) And Aḇshalom said to Aḥithophel, “Give your advice. What should we do?” (2Sa 16:21) And Aḥithophel said to Aḇshalom, “Go in to your father’s concubines, whom he has left to look after the house. And all Yisra’ĕl shall hear that you have made yourself a stench to your father. And the hands of all who are with you shall be strong.” (2Sa 16:22) So they pitched a tent for Aḇshalom on the top of the house; and Aḇshalom went in to his father’s concubines before the eyes of all Yisra’ĕl. (2Sa 16:23) Now the advice Aḥithophel gave in those days was as if one had inquired at the word of Elohim. So was all the advice of Aḥithophel both to Dawiḏ and to Aḇshalom. (2Sa 17:1) And Aḥithophel said to Aḇshalom, “Please let me choose twelve thousand men, and let me arise and pursue Dawiḏ tonight, (2Sa 17:2) and come upon him while he is weary and weak. And I shall make him afraid and all the people who are with him shall flee. And I shall smite the sovereign alone, (2Sa 17:3) and bring back all the people to you. When all return except the man whom you seek all the people should be at peace.” (2Sa 17:4) And the saying pleased Aḇshalom and all the elders of Yisra’ĕl. (2Sa 17:5) But Aḇshalom said, “Now call Ḥushai the Arkite also, and let us hear what he says too.” (2Sa 17:6) And Ḥushai came to Aḇshalom, and Aḇshalom spoke to him, saying, “Aḥithophel has spoken according to this word. Should we do as he says? If not, speak up.” (2Sa 17:7) And Ḥushai said to Aḇshalom, “The advice that Aḥithophel has given is not good at this time.” (2Sa 17:8) And Ḥushai said, “You know your father and his men that they are mighty men, and they are as bitter in being as a bear robbed of her cubs in the field. And your father is a man of battle, and would not spend the night with the people. (2Sa 17:9) “See, by now he is hidden in some pit, or in some place. And it shall be, when some of them fall at the first, that whoever hears it shall say, ‘There has been a slaughter among the people who are following Aḇshalom.’ (2Sa 17:10) “And even he who is brave, whose heart is like the heart of a lion, would utterly melt. For all Yisra’ĕl knows that your father is a mighty man, and those who are with him are brave men. (2Sa 17:11) “But I advise: Let all Yisra’ĕl without fail be gathered to you, from Dan to Be’ĕrsheḇa, as numerous as the sand by the sea, and that you yourself go to battle. (2Sa 17:12) “And we shall come upon him in some place where he is found, and fall on him as the dew falls on the ground. And there shall be left of him and of all the men with him not even one. (2Sa 17:13) “And if he withdraws into a city, then all Yisra’ĕl shall bring ropes to that city. And we shall pull it into the wadi, until there is not one small stone found there.” (2Sa 17:14) Aḇshalom and all the men of Yisra’ĕl then said, “The advice of Ḥushai the Arkite is better than the advice of Aḥithophel.” For יהוה had ordained to nullify the good advice of Aḥithophel, for the sake of יהוה bringing evil upon Aḇshalom. (2Sa 17:15) Ḥushai then said to Tsaḏoq and to Eḇyathar the priests, “Aḥithophel has advised Aḇshalom and the elders of Yisra’ĕl such and such, but I have advised so and so. (2Sa 17:16) “And now, send hastily and inform Dawiḏ, saying, ‘Do not spend this night in the desert plains of the wilderness, but pass over without fail, lest the sovereign and all the people with him be swallowed up.’ ” (2Sa 17:17) And Yehonathan and Aḥimaʽats were stationed at Ěn Roḡĕl, and a female servant would come and inform them, and they would go and inform Sovereign Dawiḏ, for they could not be seen entering the city. (2Sa 17:18) But a youth saw them, and informed Aḇshalom. So the two of them went away at once and came to a man’s house in Baḥurim, who had a well in his courtyard, and they went down into it. (2Sa 17:19) And the woman took and spread a covering over the well’s mouth, and spread ground grain on it, so the matter was not known. (2Sa 17:20) And the servants of Aḇshalom came to the woman at the house and said, “Where are Aḥimaʽats and Yehonathan?” And the woman said to them, “They have passed over the stream of water.” And they looked and did not find them, and returned to Yerushalayim. (2Sa 17:21) And it came to be, after they had left, that they came up out of the well and went and informed Sovereign Dawiḏ, and said to Dawiḏ, “Arise and pass over the water quickly. For thus Aḥithophel has advised against you.” (2Sa 17:22) And Dawiḏ and all the people who were with him rose up and passed over the Yardĕn. And by morning light not even one remained who had not gone over the Yardĕn. (2Sa 17:23) And Aḥithophel saw that his advice was not followed, so he saddled his donkey, and rose up and went home to his house, to his city. Then he gave charge to his house, and hanged himself, and died. And he was buried in his father’s tomb. (2Sa 17:24) And Dawiḏ came to Maḥanayim. And Aḇshalom passed over the Yardĕn, he and all the men of Yisra’ĕl with him. (2Sa 17:25) And Aḇshalom appointed Amasa over the army instead of Yo’aḇ. Now Amasa was the son of a man whose name was Yithra, a Yisra’ĕlite, who had gone in to Aḇiḡayil the daughter of Naḥash, sister of Tseruyah, Yo’aḇ’s mother. (2Sa 17:26) And Yisra’ĕl and Aḇshalom encamped in the land of Gilʽaḏ. (2Sa 17:27) And it came to be, when Dawiḏ had come to Maḥanayim, that Shoḇi son of Naḥash from Rabbah of the children of Ammon, and Maḵir son of Ammi’ĕl from Lo Ḏeḇar, and Barzillai the Gilʽaḏite from Roḡelim, (2Sa 17:28) brought beds and basins, and earthen vessels and wheat, and barley and flour, and roasted grain and beans, and lentils, and parched vegetables, (2Sa 17:29) and honey and curds, and sheep and cheese of the herd, for Dawiḏ and the people who were with him to eat. For they said, The people are hungry and weary and thirsty in the wilderness.

Loved One, maybe you have or have not noticed; food shortages are becoming a reality. Prices must go up- even skyrocket! (Joel 1:14) Set apart a fast. Call an assembly, gather the elders, all the inhabitants of the land, into the House of יהוה your Elohim, and cry out to יהוה.(Joel 1:15) Alas for The Day! The Day of יהוה is near, and it comes as destruction from the Almighty. (Joel 1:16) Is not the food cut off before our eyes, joy and gladness from the House of our Elohim? (Joel 1:17) The seed has rotted under their clods, storehouses are laid waste, granaries are broken down, for the grain has withered. (Joel 1:18) How the beasts moan! The herds of cattle are restless, because they have no pasture. The flocks of sheep also perish. (Joel 1:19) I cry to you יהוה, for fire has consumed the pastures of the wilderness, and a flame has set on fire all the trees of the field. (Joel 1:20) Even the beasts of the field cry out to you, for the water streams are dried up, and fire has consumed the pastures of the wilderness.

This oil (spill?) will kill parts of the ocean in addition to the genetic altering of seeds by Monsanto and others that destroys the blessing of YHWH who appointed reproduction of the seed. Please consider getting your house in order concerning survivability and sustainability. Do you have seed that will reproduce? Do you have a place of refuge away from cities and harm’s way? Have you aligned yourself with like minded believers that serve YHWH and are willing to help one another? Do you have water supply (filters etc)? Do you have a supply of power or know how to survive without it?

I recently looked at Mike Clayton’s survival website and it is by far the most excellent I have seen. Mike is a fellow Torah teacher and I enjoy his teachings. His survival website is www.torahislife.org and do remember our weekly Torah Study which is located at www.shabbatshalomlovedone.blogspot.com, and of course please share our regular site www.seedtime2harvest.com and look at our special. Especially get the twin pack DVD for these days approaching and don’t forget to have friends and family sign up there for our weekly Study! Or you may wish to forward them a study and perhaps they will email me and join with us, as many of you have done this.

May YHWH prepare you as a refuge for many in the Day of Jacob’s Trouble. May He also prepare a refuge for you as you make yourself ready as our Messiah’s bride-in-waiting!
