Shabbat Shalom Loved One!
My friend Gilbert has funny t-shirts with this printed- “Keep the Feasts or be a feast!” Consider in revelation-the great and mighty men stubbornly resist obeying YHWH are then are eaten by the birds…

Don’t forget this is the Feast of Unleavened bread! Okay, I must admit it is hard to count to 14! I should be concerned about counting to 50! Why would I expect of myself now- that after 47 years of not learning how to count to 3? (Good Friday to Easter morning and the only sign Yahshua gave us was; as Jonah was in the whale 3 days and 3 nights so would Messiah be in the Earth 3 days and 3 nights) Did I only imagine 13 years later; that I had also mastered the counting to 14? Passover was Sunday night! Last week I in error wrote it was Monday night! Goodness- Yah help me! Most believers (including me) could not count to 3 and now I am struggling with 14! That’s important because IF I understand Scriptures correctly, we should now learn to count from First Fruit offering all the way up to 50 in counting the Omer to Shavuot and the anniversary of the giving of the Torah (Law) at Mt Sinai and also the giving of the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit) on Shavuot (AKA Pentecost) so we could obey the Scriptures and the Holy Spirit would guide us into all TRUTH! Yahshua tells us these commands are not burdensome anymore because of course, of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit! The Biblical NEW YEAR started at sundown Monday April 4! Therefore Sunday evening (17th) at sundown is Passover! Unless of course you don’t count the sighting of the New Moon as the correct method OR you go with the traditions of Judaism and not the Scriptures- because Judaism does not obey the Scriptures in this matter. Okay, I want to restate why this is vastly important to you and I living today. Yahshua (Jesus) questions us; (Luke 18:8) “I say to you that He shall do right to them speedily. But when the Son of Aḏam comes, shall He find the belief (faith- trust) on the earth?” Understand with me; faith-trust-belief from the Hebrew perspective is actually obedience-DOING- as Yahshua could not imagine anyone saying they loved Him and not doing what He says. (Luke 6:46) “But why do you call me ‘Master, Master,’ (Lord Lord) and do not do what I say? 1 Footnote: 1see vv. 47-49, Mt. 7:24-28, Luke. 8:21, John 3:36, Jas. 2:17-24.
NEW COVENANT! Where is it found?
Still you may be asking; why is that of any importance to you and me living today as we have a NEW COVENANT which some would most certainly claim renewed? Why would they make such a claim? Let’s look at who this NEW COVENANT is made to and hopefully help us understand that we are grafted in to ISRAEL or we are not. (Jeremiah 31:31) “See, the days are coming,” declares יהוה, “when I shall make a new covenant with the house of Yisra’ĕl and with the house of Yehuḏah1, Footnote: 1See Heb. 8:8-12, Heb. 10:16-17. (Jeremiah 31:32) not like the covenant I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Mitsrayim, My covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to them,” declares יהוה. (Jeremiah 31:33) “For this is the covenant I shall make with the house of Yisra’ĕl after those days, declares יהוה: I shall put My Torah in their inward parts, and write it on their hearts. And I shall be their Elohim, and they shall be my people. (Jeremiah 31:34) “And no longer shall they teach, each one his neighbor, and each one his brother, saying, ‘Know יהוה,’ for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest of them,” declares יהוה. “For I shall forgive their crookedness, and remember their sin no more.” (Jeremiah 31:35) Thus said יהוה, who gives the sun for a light by day, and the laws of the moon and the stars for a light by night, who stirs up the sea, and its waves roar – יהוה of hosts is His Name: (Jeremiah 31:36) “If these laws vanish from before Me,” declares יהוה, “then the seed of Yisra’ĕl shall also cease from being a nation before Me forever.” (Jeremiah 31:37) Thus said יהוה, “If the heavens above could be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I would also cast off all the seed of Yisra’ĕl for all that they have done,” declares יהוה. (Jeremiah 31:38) “See, the days are coming,” declares יהוה, “that the city shall be built for יהוה from the Tower of Ḥanan’ĕl to the Corner Gate. (Jeremiah 31:39) “And the measuring line shall again extend straight ahead to the hill Garĕḇ, and then it shall turn toward Goʽah. (Jeremiah 31:40) “And the entire valley of the dead bodies and of the ashes, and all the fields as far as the wadi Qiḏron, to the corner of the Horse Gate toward the east, is to be set-apart to יהוה. It shall not be plucked up or thrown down any more forever.”
Fullness of the Gentiles (Ephraim) Scattered Tribes for Easter and sun god worship
Why is this important enough to remind us once again? Because the fullness of the Judgment of the Scattered Tribes is complete (390 days of Ezekiel laying on his side for the pagan tradition and disobedience in doing Easter and Sun god day worship by the Northern 10 tribes- a day for a year of scattering all over the world) that 390 years of scattering was multiplied by 7 as the Torah (Law) commands for continued disobedience and not repenting during the proclaimed judgment by YHWH. Multiplying 390 years by 7 = 2730 years of scattering us who mostly have now become Christians and think because we know who Messiah is, (The Nazarene called Jesus Christ by many today) that we are obedient. Remember with me that most historians will tell us that after Ezekiel’s proclamation of judgment in 724-726 BCE that the Assyrian King Shalmanesser the 5th carried unrepentant believers out of Israel captive and started the scattering process. Several biblical chronologists believe that was completed in 2010, while others would claim it is within a range of 10 years. The important thing to note though is that IF this fullness of judgment is complete (Also called the fullness of the gentiles), we better REPENT and come apart from pagan traditions that are an abomination to our Creator as there would not be much time before the end of the end of days would play out before us. I expect the next judgment is death as Revelation now plays out in our lifetimes.
Man made religion (Deuteronomy 4:2) “Do not add to the Word which I command you, and do not take away from it1, so as to guard the commands of יהוה your Elohim which I am commanding you. Footnote: 1See also 12:32, Prov. 30:6, Rev. 22:18-19. Perhaps we have possibly learned of “another Jesus”? A lawless (Torahless) Messiah? (2Co 11:4) For, indeed, if he who is coming proclaims another יהושע, 1 whom we have not proclaimed, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different Good News which you have not accepted, you put up with it well enough! Footnote: 1Mt. 24:5 & 23-24, John 5:43.
Okay what exactly is so important that we may need to repent of; the very same worship traditions that we were scattered for all over the earth? Because many of the body of believers have been blinded by the enemy of our souls and still follow these vain traditions which are mostly manmade additions and traditions of “Churchianity” handed down from the anything but a “Holy” Roman Empire ruler Constantine; who was a sun god worshipper and enforced these “man made doctrines” with the penalty of death for rejection. Since we biblically understand when the year starts we can observe and do His commanded Holy Days (Holidays) and not do vain observations that He considers abominations. Many Christians honor all the TRADITIONAL holidays such as Christmas, Easter, Lent and never consider their pagan roots which were orchestrated by Rome. Some know that the day of the sun (Sun-day) was rooted from sun god worship and Easter was the pagan fertility goddess, where the Easter Priests (Not Christians or in any form followers of Messiah) - would impregnate the virgins on the sunrise service and sacrifice the 3 month old babies from the prior years' sunrise service, dipping the eggs of Easter into the freshly sacrificed babies blood and declare- HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE! Have a prosperous and fertile year! This was their form of Happy New Year! Lent was the 40 days of fasting and weeping for Tamuz- goodness- Loved Ones- think maybe these traditions are possibly an abomination to our Creator? He taught us to NOT LEARN the ways of the heathen and say we are worshipping Him! (Jeremiah 10:2) Thus said יהוה, “Do not learn the way of the gentiles, 1 and do not be awed by the signs of the heavens, for the gentiles are awed by them.2 Footnotes: 1Lev. 18:3, Dt. 12:30 & 18:9, Ezekiel. 11:12 & 20:32, Eph. 4:17, 1 Peter 4:3. 2Dt. 4:19 & 17:3. He also COMMANDED US: (Deuteronomy 4:2) “Do not add to the Word which I command you, and do not subtract from it1, so as to guard the commands of יהוה your Elohim which I am commanding you. Footnote: 1See also 12:32, Prov. 30:6, Rev. 22:18-19. Do you and I suppose he has changed His mind about that; so we think it okay to ADD these manmade traditions as holy days and festivals (holidays)? And SUBTRACT His Feasts and festivals?
Should we keep traditions of the church- the Easter egg hunt or keep the Scripture command and obey PASSOVER? Yahshua is our Passover Lamb-
PLEASE- don’t take that question as even a remote possibility! Okay let’s answer the question that is continually in our face; do we choose to obey our Creator? Hmmm …. We can biblically determine again when the year starts, so we may observe His commands out of loving obedience!
(1Pe 1:17) And if you call on the Father, who without partiality judges according to each one’s work, pass the time of your sojourning in fear, (1Pe 1:18) knowing that you were redeemed from your futile way of life inherited from your fathers, not with what is corruptible, silver or gold, (1Pe 1:19) but with the precious blood of Messiah, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless, (1Pe 1:20) foreknown, indeed, before the foundation of the world, but manifested in these last times for your sakes, (1Pe 1:21) who through Him believe in Elohim who raised Him from the dead and gave Him esteem, so that your belief and expectation are in Elohim. (1Pe 1:22) Now that you have cleansed your lives in obeying the truth through the Spirit to unfeigned brotherly love, love one another fervently with a clean heart, (1Pe 1:23) having been born again – not of corruptible seed, but incorruptible – through the living Word of Elohim, which remains forever...
(Rev 7:14) And I said to him, “Master, you know.” And he said to me, “These are those coming out of the great distress, having washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
Do "we" worship in VAIN? (Maybe we should consider doing only what He says and not what tradition allows because it seems likely from Scripture that many “believers” are following these traditions and worshipping in VAIN!)
Really- Worship in VAIN? Goodness – maybe we should really reconsider Loved Ones- another Scripture comes to mind- “Come out of her my people or partake in her plagues!” Loved Ones, should we worship Him the way He says or obey men and our traditions? Is obedience to the Word made flesh that dwelled among us really important? Is our own judgment really only a heartbeat away? Do we really want to nullify all the promises received from obedience- given in the Word?
Read and know Yahshua (Jesus) warns us living today!
Mat 15:3 He answering, said to them, “Why do you also transgress the command of Elohim1 because of your tradition? Footnote: 1See Mat. 5:20. Mat 15:4 “For Elohim has commanded, saying, ‘Respect your father and your mother,’ and, ‘He who curses father or mother, let him be put to death.’ Mat 15:5 “But you say, ‘Whoever says to his father or mother, “Whatever profit you might have received from me has been dedicated,” Mat 15:6 is certainly released from respecting his father or mother.’ So you have nullified the command of Elohim by your tradition. Mat 15:7 “Hypocrites! Yeshayahu rightly prophesied about you, saying, Mat 15:8 ‘This people draw near to Me with their mouth, and respect Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me. Mat 15:9 ‘But in vain do they worship Me, teaching as my doctrines- the commands of men.’ ”1 Footnote: 1Isa. 29:13, Mk. 7:7, 2 Kings 17:19.
Obedience really comes from LOVE of Yahshua: (John 14:10) “Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak from myself. But the Father who stays in me does His works. (John 14:11) “Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in me, otherwise believe me because of the works themselves. (John 14:12) “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in me, the works that I do he shall do also. And greater works than these he shall do, because I go to My Father. (John 14:13) “Whatever you ask in my name, that I shall do, in order that the Father might be esteemed in the Son. (John 14:14) “If you ask whatever in my Name, I shall do it. (John 14:15) “If you love me, you shall guard (keep) my commands.1 Footnote: 1See Ex. 20:6, vv. 21&23, 1 John 5:2-3, 2 John v. 6. (John 14:16) “And I shall ask the Father, and He shall give you another Helper, to stay with you forever – (John 14:17) the Spirit of the Truth, whom the world is unable to receive, because it does not see Him or know Him. But you know Him, for He stays with you and shall be in you. (John 14:18) “I shall not leave you orphans – I am coming to you. (John 14:19) “Yet a little while, and the world no longer sees me, but you shall see me, because I live, and you shall live. (John 14:20) “In that day you shall know that I am in my Father and you in me, and I in you. (John 14:21) “He who possesses my commands and guards (keeps) them; it is he who loves me. And he who loves me shall be loved by my Father, and I shall love him and manifest myself to him.”
Still a Heaven and Earth so Instructions (Law- Torah) Remain!
Do we realize that IN THE BEGINNING Yahshua (Jesus) was the word and is the word even at Mt Sinai? Malachi 4 and Hebrews 13:8 testifies that He changes not and is the same yesterday, today and forever- what part of “forever” is so difficult for us to understand? The enemy has planted many tares and blinded many of us into thinking our religious traditions are acceptable to our King! However; He claims we are worshipping Him in VAIN! Please let us not use the excuse that those words have passed away because Yahshua addressed that thought beforehand and leaves us no excuse when we stand in His presence; (Mat 5:17) Think not that I am come to destroy the law, (Torah- Instructions) or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill. (Mat 5:18) For verily I say unto you, till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. (Mat 5:19) Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. So; is it ALL fulfilled? What is fulfilled were the Spring Feasts of YHWH; He was and is the Passover Lamb, He is the High Priest who had to be in seclusion until the First Fruits Offering and could not be touched (“Don’t touch me Mary- I have not yet ascended to the Father”) then the graves opened and many were seen around Jeremiah risen from the dead as He was the first of many of the First Fruits Offering; then on Shavuot (we now call Pentecost) He poured out His Spirit that His commands would no longer be impossible (burdensome) to keep. These were and are the Spring Feasts he and we start our year with- they are the shadow picture of things to come. The Fall Feasts have not yet been fulfilled- we are finally; during our generation, approaching the Feast of Trumpets and at the LAST TRUMPET, the dead in Messiah rise first; then 10 days later we have the DAY OF ATONEMENT or some of us call Judgment Day; then 5 days later we have The Feast of Tabernacles or Sukkoth when we tabernacle or dwell with Him forever; then on the eighth day of this Feast we have the LAST GREAT DAY or the WEDDING FEAST OF THE LAMB. Once again; these Fall Feasts are not yet fulfilled. So what does Yahshua say about this; are there still a heaven and an earth? If there is a heaven and earth still we are commanded to: (Mat 5:17) think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill. Perhaps since there are still rainbows (Promise to mankind not to destroy the earth again with floods) the Old Testament (Moses and the Prophets) is not done away with as many have erroneously claimed.
Passover is commanded by our Creator! (Reckon He really means it?)
(Exodus 12:1) And יהוה spoke to Mosheh and to Aharon in the land of Mitsrayim, saying, Exodus 12:2) “This month is the beginning of months for you; it is the first month of the year for you. (Exodus 12:3) “Speak to all the congregation of Yisra’ĕl, saying, ‘On the tenth day of this month each one of them is to take for himself a lamb, according to the house of his father, a lamb for a household. (Exodus 12:4) ‘And if the household is too small for the lamb, let him and his neighbor next to his house take it according to the number of the beings, according to each man’s need you make your count for the lamb. (Exodus 12:5) ‘Let the lamb be a perfect one, a year old male. Take it from the sheep or from the goats. (Exodus 12:6) ‘And you shall keep it until the fourteenth day of the same month. Then all the assembly of the congregation of Yisra’ĕl shall kill it between the evenings. (Exodus 12:7) ‘And they shall take some of the blood and put it on the two doorposts and on the lintel of the houses where they eat it. (Exodus 12:8) ‘And they shall eat the flesh on that night, roasted in fire – with unleavened bread and with bitter herbs they shall eat it. (Exodus 12:9) ‘Do not eat it raw, nor boiled at all with water, but roasted in fire, its head with its legs and its inward parts. (Exodus 12:10) ‘And do not leave of it until morning, and what remains of it until morning you are to burn with fire. (Exodus 12:11) ‘And this is how you eat it: your loins girded your sandals on your feet, and your staff in your hand. And you shall eat it in haste. Since we are grafted in- let’s obey and not get removed from the Body of Messiah!
Here are this week’s Torah Scriptures: Lech Lecha “Go Out”
Genesis 12:1-17:27; Isaiah 40:27-41:16; Romans 4: 1-25
This blessing has never been to Judah ALONE- it is for all who are grafted in to ISRAEL by trust, belief, faith in Yahshua! Note that Abraham had to obey to depart from pagan idols- yes even away from your country and relatives if necessary!
(Gen 12:1) And יהוה said to Aḇram, “Go yourself out of your land, from your relatives and from your father’s house, to a land which I show you. (Gen 12:2) “And I shall make you a great nation, and bless you and make your name great, and you shall be a blessing! (Gen 12:3) “And I shall bless those who bless you, and curse him who curses you. And in you all the clans of the earth shall be blessed.” (Gen 12:4) So Aḇram left, as יהוה had commanded him, and Lot went with him. And Aḇram was seventy-five years old when he set out from Ḥaran. (Gen 12:5) And Aḇram took Sarai his wife and Lot his brother’s son, and all their possessions that they had gathered, and the beings that they had acquired in Ḥaran, and they set out for the land of Kenaʽan. And they came to the land of Kenaʽan. (Gen 12:6) And Aḇram passed through the land to the place of Sheḵem, as far as the terebinth tree of Moreh. At that time the Kenaʽanites were in the land. (Gen 12:7) And יהוה appeared to Aḇram and said, “To your seed I give this land.” And he built there an altar to יהוה, who had appeared to him. (Gen 12:8) And from there he moved to the mountain east of Bĕyth Ěl, and he pitched his tent, with Bĕyth Ěl on the west and Ai on the east. And he built there an altar to יהוה, and called on the Name of יהוה. (Gen 12:9) And Aḇram set out, continuing toward the South. (Gen 12:10) And a scarcity of food came to be in the land, and Aḇram went down to Mitsrayim to dwell there, for the scarcity of food was severe in the land. (Gen 12:11) And it came to be, when he was close to entering Mitsrayim, that he said to Sarai his wife, “See, I know that you are a fair woman to look at. (Gen 12:12) “And it shall be, when the Mitsrites see you, that they shall say, ‘This is his wife.’ And they shall kill me, but let you live. (Gen 12:13) “Please say you are my sister, so that it shall be well with me for your sake, and my life be spared because of you.” (Gen 12:14) And it came to be, when Aḇram came into Mitsrayim, that the Mitsrites saw the woman, that she was very fair. (Gen 12:15) And Pharaoh’s officials saw her and praised her before Pharaoh, and the woman was taken to Pharaoh’s house. (Gen 12:16) And he treated Aḇram well for her sake, and he had sheep, and cattle, and male donkeys, and male and female servants, and female donkeys, and camels. (Gen 12:17) But יהוה plagued Pharaoh and his house with great plagues because of Sarai, Aḇram’s wife. (Gen 12:18) And Pharaoh called Aḇram and said, “What is this you have done to me? Why did you not inform me that she was your wife? (Gen 12:19) “Why did you say, ‘She is my sister’? And so I was going to take her for my wife. Look, here is your wife, take her and go.” (Gen 12:20) And Pharaoh commanded his men concerning him, and they sent him away, with his wife and all that he had.
Destruction by fire for homosexuality being ok
(Gen 13:1) And Aḇram went up from Mitsrayim into the South, he and his wife and all that he had, and Lot with him. (Gen 13:2) And Aḇram was very rich in livestock, in silver, and in gold. (Gen 13:3) And he went on his journey from the South as far as Bĕyth Ěl, to the place where his tent had been at the beginning, between Bĕyth Ěl and Ai, (Gen 13:4) to the place of the altar which he had made there at first. And there Aḇram called on the Name of יהוה. (Gen 13:5) Now Lot, who went with Aḇram, also had flocks and herds and tents. (Gen 13:6) And the land was not able to bear them that they might dwell together, for their possessions were great, so that they could not dwell together. (Gen 13:7) And there was strife between the herdsmen of Aḇram’s livestock and the herdsmen of Lot’s livestock. And at that time the Kenaʽanites and the Perizzites dwelt in the land. (Gen 13:8) Then Aḇram said to Lot, “Please let there be no strife between you and me, and between my herdsmen and your herdsmen, for we are brothers. (Gen 13:9) “Is not all the land before you? Please separate from me. If you take the left, then I go to the right; or, if you go to the right, then I go to the left.” (Gen 13:10) And Lot lifted his eyes and saw all the plain of the Yardĕn, that it was well watered everywhere – before יהוה destroyed Seḏom and Amorah – like the garden of יהוה, like the land of Mitsrayim as you go toward Tsoʽar. (Gen 13:11) So Lot chose for himself all the plain of the Yardĕn, and Lot moved east. Thus they separated from each other, (Gen 13:12) Aḇram dwelling in the land of Kenaʽan, and Lot dwelling in the cities of the plain and pitched his tent as far as Seḏom. (Gen 13:13) But the men of Seḏom were evil and sinned before יהוה, exceedingly so. (Gen 13:14) And after Lot had separated from him, יהוה said to Aḇram, “Now lift up your eyes and look from the place where you are, northward and southward and eastward and westward, (Gen 13:15) for all the land which you see I shall give to you and your seed forever. (Gen 13:16) “And I shall make your seed as the dust of the earth, so that, if a man could count the dust of the earth, then your seed also could be counted. (Gen 13:17) “Arise, walk in the land through its length and its width, for I give it to you.” (Gen 13:18) So Aḇram moved his tent, and went and dwelt by the terebinth trees of Mamrĕ, which are in Ḥeḇron, and built an altar there to יהוה.
Only YHWH is allowed the glory from Abraham
(Gen 14:1) And it came to be in the days of Amraphel sovereign of Shinʽar, Aryoḵ sovereign of Ellasar, Keḏorlaʽomer sovereign of Ěylam, and Tiḏʽal sovereign of Goyim, (Gen 14:2) that they fought against Bera sovereign of Seḏom, Birsha sovereign of Amorah, Shinaḇ sovereign of Aḏmah, Shem’ĕḇer sovereign of Tseḇoyim, and the sovereign of Bela, that is Tsoʽar. (Gen 14:3) All these joined together in the Valley of Siddim, that is the Salt Sea. (Gen 14:4) Twelve years they served Keḏorlaʽomer, and in the thirteenth year they rebelled. (Gen 14:5) And in the fourteenth year Keḏorlaʽomer and the sovereigns that were with him came and smote the Repha’im in Ashteroth Qarnayim, and the Zuzim in Ḥam, and the Ěmites in Shawĕh Qiryathayim, (Gen 14:6) and the Ḥorites in their mountain of Sĕʽir, as far as Ěl Paran, which is by the wilderness. (Gen 14:7) And they turned back and came to Ěn Mishpat, which is Qaḏĕsh, and smote all the country of the Amalĕqites, and also the Amorites who dwelt in Ḥatsetson Tamar. (Gen 14:8) And the sovereign of Seḏom, and the sovereign of Amorah, and the sovereign of Aḏmah, and the sovereign of Tseḇoyim, and the sovereign of Bela, that is Tsoʽar, went out and joined together in battle in the Valley of Siddim, (Gen 14:9) against Keḏorlaʽomer sovereign of Ěylam, and Tiḏʽal sovereign of Goyim, and Amraphel sovereign of Shinʽar, and Aryoḵ sovereign of Ellasar – four sovereigns against five. (Gen 14:10) And the Valley of Siddim had many tar pits. And the sovereigns of Seḏom and Amorah fled and fell there, and the remainder fled to the mountains. (Gen 14:11) And they took all the goods of Seḏom and Amorah, and all their food, and went away. (Gen 14:12) And they took Lot, Aḇram’s brother’s son who dwelt in Seḏom, and his goods, and left. (Gen 14:13) And one who had escaped came and informed Aḇram the Heḇrew, for he dwelt by the terebinth trees of Mamrĕ the Amorite, brother of Eshkol and brother of Anĕr, and they had a covenant with Aḇram. (Gen 14:14) And when Aḇram heard that his brother was taken captive, he armed his three hundred and eighteen trained servants who were born in his own house, and went in pursuit as far as Dan. (Gen 14:15) And he and his servants divided against them by night, and smote them and pursued them as far as Ḥoḇah, which is on the left of Damascus. (Gen 14:16) So he brought back all the goods, and also brought back his brother Lot and his goods, as well as the women and the people. (Gen 14:17) And after his return from the defeat of Keḏorlaʽomer and the sovereigns who were with him, the sovereign of Seḏom came out to meet him at the Valley of Shawĕh, that is, the Sovereign’s Valley. (Gen 14:18) And Malkitseḏeq sovereign of Shalĕm brought out bread and wine. Now he was the priest of the Most High Ěl. (Gen 14:19) and he blessed him and said, “Blessed be Aḇram of the Most High Ěl, Possessor of the heavens and earth. (Gen 14:20) “And blessed be the Most High Ěl who has delivered your enemies into your hand.” And he gave him a tenth of all. (Gen 14:21) And the sovereign of Seḏom said to Aḇram, “Give me the people, and take the goods for yourself.” (Gen 14:22) But Aḇram said to the sovereign of Seḏom, “I have lifted my hand to יהוה, the Most High Ěl, the Possessor of the heavens and earth, (Gen 14:23) not to take a thread or a sandal strap or whatever is yours, lest you should say, ‘I have made Aḇram rich,’ (Gen 14:24) except only what the young men have eaten, and the portion of the men who went with me: Anĕr, Eshkol, and Mamrĕ. Let them take their portion.”
Who is our exceeding great reward? We fear NOT! (We are heirs according to the promise to Abraham by our trust/faith in Yahshua)
(Gen 15:1) After these events the word of יהוה came to Aḇram in a vision, saying, “Do not be afraid, Aḇram. I am your shield; your reward is exceedingly great.” (Gen 15:2) And Aḇram said, “Master יהוה, what would you give me, seeing I go childless, and the heir of my house is Eliʽezer of Damascus?” (Gen 15:3) And Aḇram said, “See, You have given me no seed, and see, one born in my house is my heir!” (Gen 15:4) And see, the word of יהוה came to him, saying, “This one is not your heir, but he who comes from your own body is your heir.” (Gen 15:5) And He brought him outside and said, “Look now toward the heavens, and count the stars if you are able to count them.” And He said to him, “So are your seed.” (Gen 15:6) And he believed in יהוה, and He reckoned it to him for righteousness. (Gen 15:7) And He said to him, “I am יהוה, who brought you out of Ur of the Chaldeans, to give you this land to inherit it.” (Gen 15:8) And he said, “Master יהוה, whereby do I know that I possess it?” (Gen 15:9) And He said to him, “Bring Me a three-year-old heifer, and a three-year-old female goat, and a three-year-old ram, and a turtledove, and a young pigeon.” (Gen 15:10) And he took all these to Him and cut them in the middle, and placed each half opposite the other, but he did not cut the birds. (Gen 15:11) And the birds of prey came down on the carcasses, and Aḇram drove them away. (Gen 15:12) And it came to be, when the sun was going down, and a deep sleep fell upon Aḇram, that see, a frightening great darkness fell upon him. (Gen 15:13) And He said to Aḇram, “Know for certain that your seed are to be sojourners in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them, and they shall afflict them four hundred years. (Gen 15:14) “But the nation whom they serve I am going to judge, and afterward let them come out with great possessions. (Gen 15:15) “Now as for you, you are to go to your fathers in peace, you are to be buried at a good old age. (Gen 15:16) “Then, in the fourth generation they shall return here, for the crookedness of the Amorites is not yet complete.” (Gen 15:17) And it came to be, when the sun went down and it was dark that see, a smoking oven and a burning torch passing between those pieces. (Gen 15:18) On the same day יהוה made a covenant with Aḇram, saying, “I have given this land to your seed, from the river of Mitsrayim to the great river, the River Euphrates, (Gen 15:19) with the Qĕynite, and the Qenizzite, and the Qaḏmonite, (Gen 15:20) and the Ḥittite, and the Perizzite, and the Repha’im, (Gen 15:21) and the Amorite, and the Kenaʽanite, and the Girgashite, and the Yeḇusite.”
We sometimes don’t trust YHWH and listen to others to “help” YHWH- creating our own Ishmaels! (Hold fast to our confession of faith- stand having done all!)
(Gen 16:1) And Sarai, Aḇram’s wife, had borne him no child. And she had a Mitsrite female servant whose name was Haḡar. (Gen 16:2) And Sarai said to Aḇram, “See, יהוה has kept me from bearing children. Please, go in to my female servant. It might be that I am built up by her.” And Aḇram listened to the voice of Sarai. (Gen 16:3) And Sarai, Aḇram’s wife, took Haḡar her female servant, the Mitsrite, and gave her to her husband Aḇram to be his wife, after Aḇram had dwelt ten years in the land of Kenaʽan. (Gen 16:4) And he went in to Haḡar, and she conceived. And when she saw that she had conceived, her mistress was despised in her eyes. (Gen 16:5) And Sarai said to Aḇram, “My wrong be upon you! I gave my female servant into your bosom. And when she saw that she had conceived, I was despised in her eyes. Let יהוה judge between you and me.” (Gen 16:6) And Aḇram said to Sarai, “See, your female servant is in your hand, do to her what is good in your eyes.” And Sarai treated her harshly, and she fled from her presence. (Gen 16:7) And the Messenger of יהוה found her by a spring of water in the wilderness, by the spring on the way to Shur, (Gen 16:8) and He said, “Haḡar, Sarai’s female servant, where have you come from, and where are you going?” And she said, “I am fleeing from the presence of Sarai, my mistress.” (Gen 16:9) And the Messenger of יהוה said to her, “Return to your mistress, and humble yourself under her hand.” (Gen 16:10) And the Messenger of יהוה said to her, “I am going to increase your seed greatly, too numerous to be counted.” (Gen 16:11) And the Messenger of יהוה said to her, “See, you are conceiving and bearing a son, and shall call his name Yishmaʽĕl, because יהוה has heard your affliction. (Gen 16:12) “And he is to be a wild man, his hand against every one and every one’s hand against him, and dwell over against all his brothers.” (Gen 16:13) And she called the Name of יהוה who spoke to her, “You are the Ěl who sees,” for she said, “Even here have I seen after Him who sees me?” (Gen 16:14) That is why the well was called Be’ĕr Laḥai Ro’i, see, it is between Qaḏĕsh and Bereḏ. (Gen 16:15) And Haḡar bore Aḇram a son, and Aḇram called the name of his son, whom Haḡar bore, Yishmaʽĕl. (Gen 16:16) And Aḇram was eighty-six years old when Haḡar bore Yishmaʽĕl to Aḇram.
YHWH renames Abram to “Father of many nations” while he was still childless- no doubt faith comes by hearing and hearing Yah’s words- also no doubt he was the subject of mocking!
(Gen 17:1) And it came to be when Aḇram was ninety-nine years old, that יהוה appeared to Aḇram and said to him, “I am Ěl Shaddai – walk before me and be perfect1. Footnote: 1Messiah gives the same command in Mt. 5:48. (Gen 17:2) “And I give my covenant between me and you, and shall greatly increase you.” (Gen 17:3) And Aḇram fell on his face, and Elohim spoke with him, saying, (Gen 17:4) “As for me, look, my covenant is with you, and you shall become a father of many nations. (Gen 17:5) “And no longer is your name called Aḇram, but your name shall be Aḇraham, because I shall make you a father of many nations. (Gen 17:6) “And I shall make you bear fruit exceedingly, and make nations of you, and sovereigns shall come from you. (Gen 17:7) “And I shall establish my covenant between me and you and your seed after you in their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be Elohim to you and your seed after you. (Gen 17:8) “And I shall give to you and your seed after you the land of your sojournings, all the land of Kenaʽan, as an everlasting possession. And I shall be their Elohim.” (Gen 17:9) And Elohim said to Aḇraham, “As for you, guard my covenant, you and your seed after you throughout their generations. (Gen 17:10) “This is my covenant which you guard between me and you, and your seed after you: Every male child among you is to be circumcised. (Gen 17:11) “And you shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin, and it shall become a sign of the covenant between me and you. (Gen 17:12) “And a son of eight days is circumcised by you, every male child in your generations, he who is born in your house or bought with silver from any foreigner who is not of your seed. (Gen 17:13) “He who is born in your house, and he who is bought with your silver, has to be circumcised. So shall my covenant be in your flesh, for an everlasting covenant. (Gen 17:14) “And an uncircumcised male child, who is not circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin, his life shall be cut off from his people – he has broken my covenant.” (Gen 17:15) And Elohim said to Aḇraham, “As for Sarai your wife, do not call her name Sarai, for Sarah is her name. (Gen 17:16) “And I shall bless her and also give you a son by her. And I shall bless her, and she shall become nations – sovereigns of peoples are to be from her.” (Gen 17:17) And Aḇraham fell on his face and laughed, and said in his heart, “Is a child born to a man who is a hundred years old? Or is Sarah, who is ninety years old, to bear a child?” (Gen 17:18) And Aḇraham said to Elohim, “Oh, let Yishmaʽĕl live before you!” (Gen 17:19) And Elohim said, “No, Sarah your wife is truly bearing a son to you, and you shall call his name Yitsḥaq. And I shall establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant and with his seed after him. (Gen 17:20) “And as for Yishmaʽĕl, I have heard you. See, I shall bless him, and shall make him bear fruit, and greatly increase him. He is to bring forth twelve princes, and I shall make him a great nation. (Gen 17:21) “But My covenant I establish with Yitsḥaq, whom Sarah is to bear to you at this set time next year.” (Gen 17:22) And when He had ended speaking with him, Elohim went up from Aḇraham. (Gen 17:23) And Aḇraham took Yishmaʽĕl his son, and all those born in his house and all those bought with his silver, every male among the men of Aḇraham’s house, and circumcised the flesh of their foreskins that same day, as Elohim told him. (Gen 17:24) And Aḇraham was ninety-nine years old when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin. (Gen 17:25) And Yishmaʽĕl his son was thirteen years old when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin. (Gen 17:26) Aḇraham and his son Yishmaʽĕl were circumcised that same day. (Gen 17:27) And all the men of his house, born in the house or bought with silver from a foreigner, were circumcised with him.
Let there be no question who is Creator and Master of all Creation! YHWH
(Isa 40:27) Why do you say, O Yaʽaqoḇ, and speak, O Yisra’ĕl, “My way is hidden from יהוה, and my rights are overlooked by my Elohim”? (Isa 40:28) Did you not know? Have you not heard? The everlasting Elohim, יהוה, the Creator of the ends of the earth, neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable. (Isa 40:29) He gives power to the faint, and to those who have no might He increases strength. (Isa 40:30) Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men stumble and fall, (Isa 40:31) but those who wait on יהוה renew their strength, they raise up the wing like eagles, they run and are not weary, they walk and do not faint. (Isa 41:1) “Be silent before me, you coastlands, and let peoples renew their power! Let them come near, and then let them speak. Let us come together for right-ruling. (Isa 41:2) “Who rose up the righteous one from the east, called him to His foot, gave the nations before him, and made sovereigns submit to him? He gave them as the dust to his sword, as driven stubble to his bow. (Isa 41:3) “He pursued them, passed over in safety, by a path that he had not gone with his feet. (Isa 41:4) “Who has performed and done it, and called the generations from the beginning? ‘I, יהוה, am the first, and with the last- I am He.’ ” (Isa 41:5) Coastlands see it and fear and the ends of the earth are afraid – they draw near and come. (Isa 41:6) Everyone helps his neighbor, and says to his brother, “Be strong!” (Isa 41:7) And the craftsman encourages the goldsmith. He who smoothes with the hammer inspires him who strikes the anvil, saying of the joining, “It is good.” And he fastens it with nails, so it does not totter. (Isa 41:8) “But you, Yisra’ĕl, are My servant, Yaʽaqoḇ, whom I have chosen, the descendants of Aḇraham My friend, (Isa 41:9) whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, and called from its farthest parts, and said to You, ‘You are My servant, I have chosen you and have not rejected you. (Isa 41:10) ‘Do not fear, for I am with you. Do not look around, for I am your Elohim. I shall strengthen you, I shall also help you, I shall also uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.’ (Isa 41:11) “See, all those who raged against you are ashamed and blush, they are as non-existent. And the men who strive with you perish. (Isa 41:12) “You seek them but do not find them, those who struggle with you. Those who fight you are as non-existent, as naught. (Isa 41:13) “For I, יהוה your Elohim, am holding your right hand, saying to you, ‘Do not fear, I shall help you.’ (Isa 41:14) “Do not fear, you worm Yaʽaqoḇ, you men of Yisra’ĕl! I shall help you,” declares יהוה and your Redeemer, the Set-apart One of Yisra’ĕl. (Isa 41:15) “See, I shall make you into a new threshing sledge with sharp teeth, let you thresh mountains and beat them small, and make hills like chaff. (Isa 41:16) “You winnow them, the wind lifts them up, and the whirlwind scatters them; but you, you rejoice in יהוה, and boast in the Set-apart One of Yisra’ĕl.
The Torah defines what SIN is to YHWH (1Jn 3:4) whoever commits sin transgresses also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. If you “believe” and you love Him- you will do as He instructs. If you “believe” you have the right to receive all His promises you will be a “doer” of the word and not a hearer only deceiving yourself.
(Rom 4:1) What, then, shall we say Aḇraham our father, to have found, according to the flesh? (Rom 4:2) For if Aḇraham was declared right by works, he has ground for boasting, but not before Elohim. (Rom 4:3) For what does the Scripture say? “Aḇraham believed Elohim, and it was reckoned to him for righteousness.”1 Footnote: 1Gen. 15:6, Gen. 17:1 and 26:5. (Rom 4:4) And to him who is working, the reward is not reckoned as a favor but as a debt. (Rom 4:5) And to him who is not working but believes on Him who is declaring right the wicked, his belief is reckoned for righteousness, (Rom 4:6) even as Dawiḏ also says of the blessedness of the man to whom Elohim reckons righteousness without works: (Rom 4:7) “Blessed are those whose lawlessnesses are forgiven, and whose sins are covered, (Rom 4:8) blessed is the man to whom יהוה shall by no means reckon sin.” (Rom 4:9) Is this blessing then upon the circumcised only, or also upon the uncircumcised? For we affirm: Belief (Faith-Trust) was reckoned unto Aḇraham for righteousness. (Rom 4:10) How then was it reckoned? Being in circumcision, or in uncircumcision? Not in circumcision, but in uncircumcision. (Rom 4:11) And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the belief while in uncircumcision, for him to be a father of all those believing through uncircumcision, for righteousness to be reckoned to them also, (Rom 4:12) and the father of circumcision to those who not only are of the circumcision, but who also walk in the steps of the belief which our father Aḇraham had in uncircumcision. (Rom 4:13) For the promise that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Aḇraham or to his seed through the Torah, but through a righteousness of belief (Faith- Trust). (Rom 4:14) For if those who are of the Torah are heirs, belief has been made useless, and the promise has been nullified, (Rom 4:15) for the Torah works out wrath, for where there is no Torah there is no transgression. (Rom 4:16) On account of this it is of belief, that it be according favor, for the promise to be made certain to all the seed, not only to those who are of the Torah, but also to those who are of the belief of Aḇraham, who is father of us all – (Rom 4:17) as it has been written, “I have made you a father of many nations” – in the presence of Him whom he believed, even Elohim, who gives life to the dead and calls that which does not exist as existing, (Rom 4:18) who against all expectation did believe, in expectation, so that he should become father of many nations, according to what was said, “So shall your seed be.” (Rom 4:19) And not having grown weak in belief, he did not consider his own body, already dead, being about a hundred years old, and the deadness of Sarah’s womb, (Rom 4:20) he did not hesitate about the promise of Elohim through unbelief, but was strengthened in belief, giving esteem to Elohim, (Rom 4:21) and being completely persuaded that what He had promised He was also able to do. (Rom 4:22) Therefore also “it was reckoned to him for righteousness.” (Rom 4:23) And not because of him alone was it written that it was reckoned to him, (Rom 4:24) but also because of us, to whom it shall be reckoned, to us who believe in Him who raised up יהושע our Master from the dead, (Rom 4:25) who was delivered up because of our trespasses, and was raised for us to be declared right.
Loved One, here is my prayer for you and your loved ones; that by your testimony you overcome by the blood of the Lamb, and the word of your testimony which defined is your actions (doing) and words you speak that agree with the King of glory! (Eph 6:11) Put on the complete armor of Elohim, for you to have power to stand against the schemes of the devil. (Eph 6:12) We do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against authorities, against the world-rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual matters of wickedness in the heavenlies. (Eph 6:13) Because of this, take up the complete armor of Elohim, so that you have power to withstand in the wicked day, and having done all, to stand. (Eph 6:14) Stand, then, having girded your waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, (Eph 6:15) and having fitted your feet with the preparation of the Good News of peace; (Eph 6:16) above all, having taken up the shield of belief with which you shall have power to quench all the burning arrows of the wicked one. (Eph 6:17) Take also the helmet of deliverance, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of Elohim,1 Footnote: 1Isa. 59:21. (Eph 6:18) praying at all times, with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, watching in all perseverance and supplication for all the set-apart ones; (Eph 6:19) also for me, that a word might be given to me in the opening of my mouth, to be bold in making known the secret of the Good News, … I have pasted below some site you may want to search out as the day is far spent. (Rom 13:12) The night is far advanced (spent), the day has come near. So let us put off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.
Shalom to your home Loved One,
Thurston
